Suresh Jagannath Mandre, an artist from Mundhe (Taluka Karad)—who creates entire worlds through his artworks while passionately pursuing the unique art of micro-writing—was honored with the ‘State-level Akshar Gaurav Puraskar 2026’. The award was presented during the 5th State-level Akshar Sammelan (Literary/Calligraphy Gathering) organized by the ‘Majhi Shala Majha Phala’ group. This state-level event took place on the premises of SVERI’s College of Engineering in Pandharpur from May 22 to May 24, 2026.Suresh Mandre was felicitated in the presence of Conference President and Group-A Chief Officer (Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra) Shubhant Gaikwad, Reception Committee Chairman Narendra Mahadik, Conference Coordinator Amit Bhorkade, as well as dignitaries including Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prashant Dagle, Deputy Secretary of the Forest Department Sanjay Ingle, Narendra Borlepwar, former Judge Omkar Patil, veteran Rangoli artist Mahadev Gopale, and Prashant Waghmare.
